What is a DNS blacklist?

A DNS blacklist (DNSBL) is a published list of IP addresses reported for sending spam. Receiving mail servers query these lists during delivery and may reject or junk mail from listed IPs.

Which blacklists does this tool check?

SpamCop, Barracuda, SORBS spam and general zones, PSBL, and s5h.net. These are public lists queryable over open resolvers. Spamhaus is not included because it refuses queries from public DNS resolvers and would return misleading results.

My IP is listed. What should I do?

Each blacklist runs its own delisting process, linked from its website. Before requesting removal, fix the cause: secure compromised accounts, stop the offending sends, and warm the IP back up with low volume. Listings usually recur if the underlying issue remains.

Check a domain against Spamhaus DBL, SURBL, and URIBL, and its mail server's IP against five IP blacklists. Live lookups with a clear verdict.
